Hearts that Choose to Embrace the Wisdom of God Embrace the Undertaker

Father, You are our God and our King.  We as your people sing that you reign and we declare that you do.  You are Lord over all and we love you.

Will you undertake for us?  There are things in each of our hearts that are dead and smell nasty.  Will you bury those things that need burying and bring to life that which will glorify you?

Oh, I know it is your heart to do so Lord.  I know you want us to be carriers of your glory and to be emanating with your fragrant aroma.  The Aroma of Life Himself.

Our hearts are thankful for how you have protected us from our own foolishness.  Let foolishness be buried and let wisdom arise.  Yes, Lord.

We act too often in haste and impatience.  Those too need to be buried.  In these days Father, may joy fill our hearts as we choose to wait on you.  Give us grace to choose joy as we walk fully through the now moments of our lives.  Each moment recorded and counted for eternity.

In the planning for our future may we not forget to embrace our todays.  To live and love fully within the span of a few short hours.  God, we choose to pour ourselves out, to lay our selves down, and to be blessings and carriers of grace to those in our church family and community.

Thank You Father, for all you have given to us.  All you have entrusted to us.  We want to be faithful and obedient stewards of your gifts.  To use everything for your glory.  To quit asking, “Lord, what do you want me to do, where do you want me to go, what do I have to give?”

Instead, we bow in your awesome Presence and say, “Use me today for your glory Father.  I am yours to use as you see fit.  I yield to the moving of the Mighty River that flows from your throne.  Take me; use me today for your glory.”

Will you kneel with me in the River?  Will you exchange your foolishness and embrace the wisdom of God?

The wisdom of God is greater than gold.
