Words Whispered in Dance of Intimacy

In the circle of His embrace…isn’t that where we all long to dwell?

Dwelling daily in His presence, abiding forever in His love and living lives that are rich and overflowing with His abundant blessings…sometimes this can feel like a dream when we are walking through the valleys and listening for the way He wants us to take around the mountains of difficulty that crop up in our lives.

There is blessing in the hard place too.  Blessing beyond our natural comprehension and understanding because it is supernatural joy and provision.  We need His provision in our journeys because only He knows exactly what we need when we have need of it.

On the hard road there is joy.

Mary and Joseph walked a hard road long before they hit the road to Bethlehem but their hearts were set on obedience to God.  They chose to put forth their whole hearts in loving the Lord their God and He saw to it that their hearts did not fail or falter; neither did they tremble in unbelief when trouble came their way.  God supernaturally provided an amazing angelic support system for them.

Oftentimes we want the angelic visitations without the hardship!  Come close, lean in to His embrace and listen!

“When your soul is at rest there is no longer a clashing of our conflicting wills.  Peace and joy walk hand in hand and they will lead you into the way of righteousness as you walk with an undivided and undiluted heart within My kingdom.  There shall be harmony within your soul; the song you sing will echo the song in My heart for you.

You shall skip, dancing with joy for you have entered into the joy of your Lord and you see your life changing all around.  There becomes a clear and new dimension that you walk in as you gaze upon the beauty of My grace and keep on seeking My face.

Come freely into the circle of My embrace; dance with Me as an expression of your love and joy.  Dance with joyous abandon-take My hands and let Me lead you in a dance of intimacy.

You are so precious to Me and I long to show you My heart, My tender and compassionate heart full of unbridled love for you.  You are My treasure and you  bring great pleasure to Me.  I will never hurt you or betray your love.  In your dance with Me I long for you to experience the purity of My love.

So, just come into the circle of My embrace.  Let Me show you that the purity and truth of My words stands forever.  My wisdom is as pure as My love, it is considerate and gentle, full of compassion and good fruit.

You are protected by My compassion, for it shields you, nurtures you and brings nourishment to you.  My compassion causes you to grow strong even as it breaks your heart in order to bring healing.  It is always your choice as to whether or not you surrender.

It is always My choice to love unconditionally and without measure.

The joy of love will ease the pain of the cutting of the uncircumcized heart.  The joy of love will welcome Me in the harvest field of hearts with My reaping hook in hand.  The joy of love will cause your heart to run to Me and to not shrink back.  You will allow Me to cut away the growth that does not please me and give you greater  understanding that you may live out of the abundance I have laid hold of for you.

Enter into the joy of Jesus and live your lives making room for the glory of God to dwell within you .  Make decisions that will see your flesh patterns decrease and die and then you shall see the truth of the shining glory of God within you blazing for the unsaved world to see.”

Are you facing mountainous challenges in your life?  Are you unsure of the way He wants you to take?  Then beloved, lean in and listen to the words of wisdom He longs for your heart to hear.  He loves you with an everlasting love and there is nothing too hard for Him, there is nothing that is too much for Him to do for you.  Know that beloved.  Know, in the deepest part of your heart that there is nothing too hard for your King to do for you.

Listen!  Can you hear Him as He directs your steps and speaks truth to your heart?

Listening with you,

Jeannie

An exerpt from Beckoned by the King.  Devotional section Psalm 119:137-144.  The Hebrew alpabet letter for this section of verses is ‘Tsadhe’ – it resembles a scythe or reaping hook or sickle which were the main instruments used to harvest.

The Circle of His Embrace

Its been a rough few  weeks, no getting around that, life cannot always be smooth sailing or else we would never grow and mature in our walk with God.  At times it felt like I would lose hope…but you know, I remembered Who lives on the inside of me…Jesus. The hope of the world, your hope, my hope.
I am putting all I have learned into practise and am listening for His Voice to lead and guide me in a way I do not know. And it seems like He has been taking me into the wilderness, a land of unknowns and giants, but there in that place He speaks words of tenderness to the heart.
Words to direct the heart into peace.
He says, find rest for your soul, everything is in My control. When you allow yourself to lean on and trust in Me, you are allowing Me to bind you with cords of love to keep you bound to Myself. Being stayed on Me, you are set in place. To rest in and trust in Me.
The picture He placed in my heart was of the old-fashioned corsets women used to wear. The stays of the corset held everything in place. It held the body tight and that is how He holds us. He holds us tight against His heart and He is not going to allow any circumstance to move us because we are set in place against Him. We are set against Him to trust in and lean on Him

I am singing, ‘my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. on Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand.’ And then I speak to myself telling myself what the power of the shed blood of Jesus has accomplished. This is what your prayers are accomplishing.

When I look at where I left off in the Beckoned by the King Bible study, my heart just turns to mush.  Look at the last sentence in the chapter: “Can you hear Him as He whispers words of tenderness to you as He gently wipes the tears from your eyes?”

In our world filled with noises, if we listen we will hear Him.  We will hear the rustle of His garments as He walks beside us and our ears will be tuned in to the frequency of the sound of His voice.

This sound…this sound reverberates joy as He delights in our presence.  His sound is one of welcome and words of love.  The Bridegroom is calling out to His Bride…can you hear Him?  Will you respond?

Will you let your heart keep His commands?  His words are written on our hearts and they are near us, even in our mouths.

He says, let those words become the joy and rejoicing of your heart.  You will want and desire to be with Me for the fullness of joy promised in relationship with Me.

His promise and reward for keeping and guarding the treasure of His word within our heart is rich with hope.

Tranquil hearts in the midst of turmoil and fearful circumstances will add length to our days and make our years worth living.

Being in right relationship with our Bridegroom King will fill our hearts with joy unceasing.  The beauty radiating from us will be the unfading beauty of His glory carried in our earthen vessels.  Though we be weak and full of frailties and foibles, we carry the amazing, eternal treasure of God’s glory within us.

Things and difficult circumstances can easily crowd out the glory.   The word ‘things’ in some literary circles is considered to be lame and a word not to be used since there is the opportunity to describe the word and make the sentence more poetic, more creative and imaginative.  But the other morning the word ‘ things’ was loud in my head so I asked and inquired of the Lord asking Him ‘what ‘things’ Lord?”

His answer? These ‘things’ taking place, these light, momentary afflictions, those things causing you a slight distress are working in you, preparing, producing and achieving for you an everlasting weight of glory. The weight of glory will be beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease. So look not to the things which are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal, brief and fleeting, but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.

…to be continued … but please read Psalm 119:137-144  The Hebrew alphabet letter for this section is Tsadhe.  It resembles a scythe, reaping hook or sickle which are main instruments used to harvest.

Two questions I leave with you till next time when I share the words of the Lord heard in the circle of His embrace.

1.  Are you consistently choosing obedience to the Scriptures and allowing the power in them to cut away those ‘things’ in your life and in you that are not pleasing to God?

2. Are you experiencing the fruit of joy as you delight in the word of God?

With you in His palm,

Jeannie

A Thank You Note to the Father After Forty Three Years

It has been 43 years today, Father, since I gave my heart to You at ”Shepherd’s Call’, the Jesus People coffeehouse.  Forty three years since accepting Jesus as I was shown John 3:16 for the first time and realized that I was a whosoever, that I was loved by You.  I believed even though I knew nothing.  On this day, 43 years ago faith was born!  Thank You for such an incredible gift!

But Lord, I still desperately need You to undertake for me.  Let those dead traits in my life stay buried and bring to life that which glorifies You.

Lord, I thank You for protecting me from my own foolishness.  Let my foolishness be buried and let wisdom arise.

My haste and impatience also need burying, Lord.  In these days, Father thank You for  joy as I choose to wait on You.  May I also choose joy as I walk full through the now moments, no matter the circumstances.

In the planning for the future, let me not forget to embrace my todays.  To live and love fully within them and to be a blessing to those in my family, church and community.

Thank You, Father for all You have given to me, all You have entrusted me with.  May I be a faithful and obedient steward of Your gifts.  Father, I pray and long to walk undefiled in Your way.Continue Reading

When we Need to Maintain Peace

2014-09-24 13.07.08  This is the last day of September, the last day of focusing on ‘peace’ in my journal.  I have many words unshared, many treasures from His word uncovered.

The most important and life changing thing I have learned in this one week is the difference between happiness and gladness.  This might be old hat to many of you, but for me?  Can’t even begin to describe the rush of joy that fills my heart!

I love how He shared with me that happiness is an orphan, a worldly imposter and stealer of joy and gladness.

‘Happy’ doesn’t want us to rejoice in the Lord, or delight and gladden ourselves in Him.  When we are delighting ourselves in Him, we are drinking from the Rivers of Living Water, from the well that never runs dry!

To maintain peace, maintain your focus on Me.  To run your race efficiently and well, you must maintain what your soul feeds upon so fear does not settle in your heart.

Maintain a life filled with seeking out the treasures in My word.  Allow the oil of Holy Spirit to flow in the ‘creaky, stiff places’.

I am good.  I am your strength and stronghold in the day of trouble.  I know you, I see you, I recognize you in your time of trouble and need and I wrap My arms of comfort and strength roundabout you as you take refuge in Me and trust Me.

Peace shall be yours without end as you recognize and acknowledge that My word is truth, a law of unending righteousness and love.

I will not hide My face from you, nor turn away in anger from My beloved.

I will help you and teach you My way and I will lead you in plain and even paths.  I will have compassion on you.

I will teach you and strengthen you as you wait and hope for Me.  You shall be brave and of good courage ~ your soul will be stayed on peace and bravery and courage are born.

Bravery and courage are a result of peace.  A result of trusting Me, of waiting upon Me and keeping your heart stirred by hope.

Hope endures the wait.  Hope builds tenacity, stoutness within the heart.

Hope gives hearts a mandate ‘to declare Your truth and faithfulness to men’.

If you give up hoping, you miss the blessing of My faithfulness.  You miss the truth of My promises fulfilled in your life.

…so I wait Father.  I wait for You with hope and expectation.  I wait trusting.  I wait knowing I can rely on You.  I wait with confidence knowing You are the Keeper of Promises.  I wait leaning hard into You, Jesus.  I wait with thanksgiving in my heart, with glad words on my lips as I experience the WOW!! of being encompassed about with Mercy and Loving Kindness.

How GREAT is Your goodness, Lord!  You continually inspire me to live in greater measures of peace.  Unmoved, feet planted deep upon the Rock of Ages.

I will rejoice and be glad in You!

With you in His palm,

Jeannie

The entrance and unfolding of His words give light.  Their unfolding gives understanding, discernment and comprehension to us.  What word is God unfolding in your heart and soul to bring about a deeper walk with Him?

A Psalm of Trust

Praying Psalm 4 today, September 4, 2014.  A prayer of trust.

Lord, hear me when I call.  You are the God I lean on and trust in.  You are God my Righteousness.  By the sacrifice and blood of Your Son, you have made me altogether and completely righteous.  The blood has forgiven my present, past and future sin.

Would You have mercy on me today, Father, and hear my prayer?

Life forces are coming against me but I declare You are my shield and bulwark, my strong tower and refuge.  In the secret place that is You, Father, I trust.

I know You have set me apart for Yourself.  You are training me in godliness and righteousness.  My heart is comforted knowing You hear me when I call to You.  Your word cautions me to not sin when I am angry.  You do not want me to give the enemy of my soul any legal rights to use against me in the courts of heaven.  I yield to the working of Your Spirit within me.

You encourage me to be still in my heart, still in my soul to calm the rapid beating of my heart in trepidation of what may be coming.  I turn over to You events and circumstances that are worrying me.  I meditate on Your promises to meet any need I may have.

I repent of and turn from my sin of fretting.  I choose instead to offer You my sacrifices of righteousness by actively trusting You.  By speaking out Your word of faith and truth and reinforcing my own heart with it.

My faith and trust, though unseen by me, are visible to You.  I hold them up, here in my hands for You Father, and put my whole hearted trust in You.  You watch over my faith and trust and Your interest gives me gladness of heart.

More than the joy of harvest when there is an abundance of grain and wine, greater than gold is the gladness You have sparked within my heart.  I gave You an offering, a sacrifice of righteousness, choosing to do the right thing by faith, and You overflow my cup with the great joy of my salvation!

When I lie down at night, I am not kept awake by the rumblings of worry, dread and fear.  I lie down in peace and true to Your word of promise, You give me, Your beloved sweet sleep.  You alone O Lord make me dwell in safety.

Thank You for Your grace and mercy, love, compassion and willingness to be a Friend who loves at all times.

I love You Lord,

Jeannie
