John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become sons of God, to those who believe in His Name.

This was the first Bible verse I ever memorized ~ 40 years ago.  I had become a child of God.  Now I want to receive the fullness of His grace, love and truth in the deepest core of my being.

Yes, I want to simplify and get rid of all the old wrong thoughts, attitudes and actions ~ over these 40 years one thing for sure I have learned.  I cannot do it on my own.  I need the help of my Savior and therefore today, my heart is wide open to receive Him.  In preparing a place for Him, I receive Him and all that comes with Him.

I must trade in my ashes and receive His beauty.  I trade my sorrow and receive His joy.  I yield my concerns and receive His peace.  I let go of my own will and receive the perfection of  His plans for me.

It isn’t “stuff” I want to receive.  It is the pure gold of the Word of God.  The treasure that does not rot away and that thieves cannot break in and steal.  I receive Jesus.

So this year I had Melanie at http://OnlyaBreath make me this beautiful button to remind me all year long of the one word I want to receive the fullness of  in my heart.

Melanie at Only a Breath is making tags like the one above to share your word on your blog, Each month on the 15th she will be offering a blog link up to share how we are progressing with our word.  Should be a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the extra joy I am sure it will add to life.  Thank you Melanie for being so generous and blessing us with your gift.  You are deeply appreciated.

I also found http://OneWord365 and together each one of us will be finding new ways to grow in our relationship with the Lord.  It will be personal because He is the One who spoke the words to our hearts.  How exciting it will be for our Lord as He watches His children as we grow in fresh revelation in 2013.
